Day 1: Saturday
MALÉ to DHIGURAH
After meeting your Koda crew at the airport, we head to the Malé International harbour to embark on our journey and head for the picturesque Island of Dhigurah on our private speed boat. During the boat ride we will catch our first glimpse of the famous over water bungalows that have made the Maldives famous.
We dock in the port of Dhigurah in time for sunset and check straight into our first hotel. Tonight we'll enjoy an included rooftop dinner and get to know your new Koda fam that you'll be enjoying the week ahead with.
If you think today was a fun start, get excited as tomorrow we get to swim with Whale Sharks!
Day 2: Sunday
WHALE SHARK EXCURSION
This morning you have a chance to join in with the Dhigurah Beach Clean up project and help keep these beautiful beaches in pristine condition. After your well earned breakfast, we will get to experience our first excursion...swimming with the Whale Sharks!
Whale Sharks are in fact the world's largest fish and permanent residents to the area. Keep your eyes peeled for them as we cruise on the reefs of the South Ari Atoll.
After the excursion we are dropped at the most southern point of the island where there are a number of beautiful sand banks. There we get to enjoy a fresh seafood lunch before heading back to our hotel for the evening.
Day 3: Monday
SWIM, DIVE & COOK!
This morning you have another chance to go back out and swim with the Whale sharks, because really, once is not enough!
Today you'll also get your first chance to go Scuba diving in these crystal clear waters. If you don't go out today, you will get another opportunity later in the week at the next island.
This afternoon we have another great excursion for you to join us on as we go in search for the local Manta Ray. These beautiful creatures glide through the shallow waters near the island, allowing us to throw on the flippers and swim alongside them. This is a must do!
Back on the land, we have a Cooking Class with our local chefs at the resort. They teach you how to make some of their favourite dishes so you can wow your friends back home with your new Masterchef skills.
Day 4: Tuesday
DHIGURAH to MAAFUSHI via VAAVU ATOLL
Today we will depart from Dhigurah for Maafushi via the Vaavu Atoll which contains and array of amazing bucket-list experiences.
During the ride we are likely to see dolphins as we cruise through the open channel en route to our first stop, the shipwreck! You can jump off the wreck, swim around it or even through the stern which allows for some great pics!
From here we have our included lunch on a sandbank in the middle of the Indian Ocean, get up and close to some friendly Sting-Rays then visit the resident Nurse Sharks which inhabit the Alimatha Resort before making our way to our final stop, Maafushi.
Day 5: Wednesday
SCUBA DIVE EXCURSION
Today we can tick another item off the bucket list...Scuba Diving! The Maldives is one of the best locations in the world for diving not only because of the abundance of marine life and coral, but because the water is extremely clear and calm, which also makes it perfect for the first timer!
Early in the morning we head over to the reefs surrounding Guraidhoo for the dive, and start our search for the Green Sea Turtle and Spotted Eagle Sting-Ray.
In the evening join us on our night fishing excursion where we will be eating whatever we catch straight out of the ocean!
Day 6: Thursday
What would be the perfect way to spend a full free day in the Maldives? At an all inclusive resort surrounded by amazing people of course!
Today we depart for our day trip to a Resort close by to Maafushi, where we have the option to indulge in the all inclusive package which includes; transfers, resort entry, international buffet lunch and unlimited cocktails. Sound good? We think so too!
In the evening, it's time for some fun as we jump onboard a party boat and dance the night away!
Day 7: Friday
The last few days have fun been full of bucket list items so today, we are having a Beach Day!
There are various water sports available at the beach which include; Stand up paddle boarding, parasailing, kayaking, jetpack and catamaran hire.
Or you can grab a snorkel and explore some of the reefs around the island.
Tomorrow morning our Maldives adventure comes to an end. Enjoy one last breakfast as you farewell your Koda crew and your new lifelong friends :)
So, what are you waiting for? Come join us in paradise!
