MEET CHRIS
What's your story?
What started as a quick 2-month trip back in 2010 somehow turned into a lifestyle… and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
After travelling through 70+ countries, there’s still nowhere quite like Croatia for me. The history, the coastline, the late Summer nights, the people — it still gives me goosebumps every time I return. Turkey and the Maldives aren’t far behind either.
Over the years, I’ve built friendships all throughout the Mediterranean and created Koda Sail to give people the kind of trips I always wanted to experience myself, social, organised, relaxed, authentic and genuinely unforgettable.
Back in 2014, I placed 5th in the world in TourRadar’s “Guide of the Year” awards, voted by past passengers. But honestly, the best part of the job is still watching complete strangers become lifelong friends by the end of the week.
When I’m not sailing somewhere around the Med, you’ll usually find me back home in Melbourne planning the next adventure.

MEET GEMMA
What's your story?
Originally from New Zealand, Gemma has been guiding tours around Europe since 2015, but there’s always been one place that’s truly stolen her heart… Croatia.
What started as a travel destination quickly became an obsession, and she’s now living her dream spending Summers exploring the Dalmatian coast, island hopping with guests and calling Croatia her second home.
Since joining Koda Sail in 2025, Gemma has become known for her fun-loving energy, warm personality and ability to make every guest feel instantly comfortable onboard. Whether she’s leading nights out in Hvar, helping guests discover hidden swim spots or dancing barefoot on the sundeck, she brings infectious good vibes everywhere she goes.
And if you’re wondering what drink she’ll have in hand… it’s always an Aperol Spritz. In fact, she loves them so much the crew nicknamed her “Gemmarol Spritz.”
We honestly couldn’t imagine a better person to help lead our Croatia Sail adventures.

MEET LUCAS
What's your story?
After spending the better part of the last decade living, working and travelling abroad, I’ve been lucky enough to explore over 100 countries around the world.
From beach towns and snowfields to jungles and huge cities, travel has introduced me to some incredible people and experiences, and now I get to recreate that magic for others through Koda Sail.
When I’m not onboard, I’m usually chasing my next adventure somewhere off the beaten track. I’m a photographer, yoga teacher and serial wanderer who’s happiest discovering places most people overlook. Some of my favourite travels have been through the Middle East, exploring countries like Oman, Jordan, Lebanon and Iran.
You’ll usually find me running our Maldives Island Hopping tours, camera in hand and somehow convincing everyone to wake up for sunrise swims.
Favourite destination: Maldives of course!
Drink of choice: Anything cold after sunset
Known for: Finding hidden local spots
Tour vibe: Relaxed, adventurous and always spontaneous
MEET HOLLY
What's your story?
Holly grew up in Country Victoria along the Murray River, where her love for adventure, people and the outdoors first began.
After starting her career as a primary school teacher, she decided to swap classrooms for airports and hasn’t really stopped moving since. Since then, she’s travelled extensively around the world, volunteered overseas and built friendships everywhere she’s gone.
When she’s not travelling, Holly works as a dance teacher and qualified yoga instructor, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself joining a sunrise yoga session on the sundeck before breakfast.
Since joining Koda Sail in 2024, Holly has quickly become a guest favourite across our Croatia, Turkey and Maldives tours thanks to her welcoming energy, organisation and ability to turn a group of strangers into a family within days.
Favourite destination: Unhealthy obsession with Japan!

MEET BRUNO
What's your story?
For Bruno, life on the Adriatic isn’t just a job, it’s family tradition. Growing up in the small seaside town of Krilo near Split, Bruno and his five brothers were practically raised at sea.
With their father working as a captain, the brothers spent most of their childhood onboard learning the ropes and falling in love with life on the water.
Today, Koda Sail has brought the family back together, with the brothers working across our Croatian fleet each Summer creating unforgettable experiences for guests from around the world.
Whether he’s docking the boat in tiny island ports or helping guests feel at home onboard, Bruno brings authentic Croatian hospitality everywhere he goes.
Favourite destination: The Dalmatian Islands
Drink of choice: Rakija
Known for: Calm under pressure
Tour vibe: Authentic, easygoing and family-style
MEET Çağdaş
What's your story?
Çağdaş, or “Shaggy” as everyone calls him, is one of the friendliest faces you’ll ever meet on the Turkish coast. Born and raised in Turkey, Shaggy has spent years working in tourism and knows the coastline, local culture and hidden swimming spots better than almost anyone.
A week onboard with him feels less like a tour and more like travelling with a local friend who somehow knows everybody. Whether it’s organising unforgettable nights out, finding secret bays away from the crowds or making sure every guest feels looked after, Shaggy brings an energy that people remember long after the trip ends.
If you hear someone laughing from the other side of the boat, there’s a good chance Shaggy is nearby.
Favourite destination: Southern Turkey
Drink of choice: Ice cold Efes
Known for: Knowing absolutely everyone
Tour vibe: Fun, local and effortlessly social
