ACCOMmODATION

  • Here in Africa we have a mixture of accommodation throughout the tour, staying in lodges, sleeping out under the stars in the Salt Pans, and in our 3x3 tents during our 4 night mobile Safari in the Okavango Delta.

  • Shearwater Explorers Village - Vic Falls:
So close to the falls that it occasionally receives an early morning shower from the spray!
The lodge overlooks virgin African bush and a waterhole that is frequently visited by elephants and buffalo, it is near craft markets and the entertainment area. There are amazing gardens that offer fantastic birdlife, coupled with great ambience.

  • Planet Baobab - Gweta:
Just outside the village of Gweta, Planet Baobab is an attraction in itself. There is a colony of giant baobab trees all over the property, the buildings are designed in a traditional African style. Lots of thatched roofs, colourful flowing walls and traditional furniture. The swimming pool is massive and a beautiful place to hang out.

  • 4 night Safari:
A mobile camp is unique in that it travels between locations with the safari. A hard-working team sets up the camp specifically for the safari. Although basic, the camp is remarkably comfortable with great locations, food and service. Accommodation is in 3x3m dome tents with comfortable bedrolls on the ground. Long drop toilets and hot bucket showers are shared. Great bushfire meals are served in a dining tent. All activities are conducted by professional guides in gameviewers with multiple charging facilities.
